By scheduling an appointment with FIT Massage you are agreeing to the following policies:
Payment
Full payment is expected at the time of service. Types of acceptable payments are cash, credit card. I do not submit billings to any insurance company at this time. If you would like a receipt for insurance or taxes purposes please let the therapist know when you are paying and they can give you a written receipt or an invoice can be emailed to you. Once the massage has been started, if the appointment is stopped/cancelled due to needs or actions of the client, the client is responsible for paying the fee of the entire scheduled time.
Cancellation/Rescheduling
Please provide at least 24 hours notice for cancellation, otherwise you will be charged the full fee for your appointment. In case of sudden illness or real emergencies, the fee may be waived.
Scheduling/Appointment Time
For in Office Appointments
If you are late for your appointment the time of your massage will be shortened to absorb the difference.
For Mobile Appointments
A work area of at least 10x6 ft is ideal.
The scheduled appointment time is the time the therapist will arrive at your home. If you would like them to arrive earlier so that you can get started at a particular time, please state so when scheduling the appointment. It will take about 10 minutes to set-up and to be ready to give the massage.
Upon arrival if you do not answer the door, or your phone, I will wait up to 15 minutes (which will be taken away from the massage if you show up), then we will leave, and the appointment will be considered a no show and an invoice will be sent..
If the start of the appointment to delayed on the part of the client, that time will be deducted from the total massage time with no discount.
If the appointment is delayed due to the therapist, if time allows they will give the full time of the massage. If time does not allow, the client will receive a discount in accordance with the amount of time the appointment was delayed.
Once the massage is started, that is the beginning of the amount of time booked, if the client needs to pause the massage for any reason, that time is taken away from the massage and the client is still charged for the time. For example, a one hour massage is booked for 2:00. After setting up and getting ready the massage starts at 2:15, at 2:30 the client receives a phone call, needs to use the restroom, has to let someone in, etc., and has to pause the massage for any length of time, the massage will still end at 3:15 unless time allows and the client is willing to pay for additional time.
Client Conduct
The client must keep the massage therapist informed of all medical conditions, including new ones that occur during the time they are working with a therapist. A doctor’s note may be required under certain circumstances.
It is the client's responsibility to let the therapist know if the pressure is too light or too deep, if they are uncomfortable for any reason, areas they do not want worked, or anything else that may prevent them from being able to relax and enjoy the massage.
Private areas will not be massaged for any reason.
Any inappropriate conduct, suggestive remarks, or advances will result if immediate termination of the appointment and will be viewed as solicitation, which will be reported to the proper authorities. Payment for the entire scheduled time will be expected.
Massages are available to begin within these hours. Plan for your therapist to be at location for an additional 30 mins of set up/break down time in addition to your appointment time.
