MOBILE MASSAGE INFO

Professional conduct, Respect for client confidentiality, and a great Massage!

When providing any massage I bring a high quality portable massage table, bolster, sheets and blankets for draping, massage oils & lotions, music player and a variety of music for you to choose from.  Please notify me if any additional supplies (i.e. extra pillows, blankets, scents that you love) will be needed for your comfort during your massage or if you have any sensitivity or allergic reaction to certain oils, lotions or scents. Extra pillows will be brought for Pregnancy / Prenatal Massage.

When I arrive-

I will bring everything that is required to complete your massage; All I need from you is adequate space to set up my equipment, at least a 10x6 ft. area. It will take 10 to 15 minutes to set-up my equipment and supplies, and for a brief interview to discuss health history or changes, your expectations and the focus of your treatment, if it is your first session I will need you to fill out an intake form during that time. Set-up time is not included as part of your massage time.

The Massage:

When set-up is completed, I will step out of the room to allow you privacy to undress to your comfort level and get under the sheets & blanket.  During this time I will thoroughly wash my hands and arms.

When I come back into the room your scheduled time will begin.

The therapeutic massage you receive will be customized based on your needs at the time. My specialty is a relaxing therapeutic massage, this uses enough pressure to help release the muscles but is gentle enough to be relaxing.  I will check with you occasionally to ensure that the pressure and techniques are comfortable and effective.  At the end of your session I will step out of the room to allow you privacy to re-dress.

Draping:

For your comfort and mine you will be covered at all times by a sheet unless I am working on that specific area.  If at any time you are uncomfortable for any reason (too hot, too cold, etc.) simply let me know so that draping can be adjusted accordingly.

Talking During the Session:

Open communication about your comfort level, desired pressure, effectiveness of a particular technique is beneficial to both client and therapist; it helps me to deliver the most effective massage possible. Some clients like to chat during a massage; others prefer to silently enjoy their massage, so other than occasionally asking for your feedback on pressure and comfort level, I will remain silent unless you initiate conversation.

Payment & Break down

Payment is due immediately after the massage, there will be 10-15 minutes for you to prepare payment as I break down and pack up my equipment.  I accept cash, personal checks (locals only) and credit cards, Tipping is not required, nor expected, but is always appreciated.

It is important to drink lots of water after a massage. Drinking water will help your body rid itself of the toxins released during massage.
